Synopsis: The Paris of the late nineteenth century was a beautiful city marred by war and trying to rebuild itself. Among the many stories of desperacy, despair, tragedy, triumph and renewal, two people fell in love and their simple and honest quest for peace became a city-wide affair- a living representation of an ideal which many strived for but few were brave enough to reach out and embrace. Slandered, betrayed by friends and family, and falsely accused of unspeakable criminal acts because of their questionable familial backgrounds, one innocent couple, aided by the Grace of God and two sincere, steadfast, pious, and understanding priests, finds the strength they need in God and in each other to "live and love and die together as God wills" in true freedom, and vows of "no matter what" are tested to the extreme.
